Scouts Own for Weekend Two

Hey Everyone!
Just so you are all aware, at the crew meeting today we started with a little bit of structuring with the Scouts Own.

Ali is going to email out the notes on the discussion and the plan thus far for the Socuts own..

What we need now is someone to volunteer to set up the video that we would like to play- its the One World, One Promise one, available on You Tube-

And for three suggestions of readings, prayers to include on the topic of unity... that you would be willing to read out.

If you can email this to me that would be awesome, just so we can put a program together for the Scouts Own...

Also if people could think of a free date sometime in November to sit down and complete the books and have a bit of a post course party...

Hope you guys have a good week and i shall see you all next Friday night... i'm bringing some movies for enetertainment value if we get bored???? :)

Decision Time

OK All, we need to lock down some decisions regarding the Scouts Own and when we are going to meet next. Looks like its nearly immpossible to suit everyone but we have the majority covered.

I love to go to the half day meeting, my timetable are stretch to the limit already but.. let me write down to see if any help
weekend 29/30- anniversery and birthday, work on sunday?
weekend - 6/10- TVK crew organised and run children festival for clayton festival- you all welcome to come and enjoyed, 7/10- work
weekend 13/10- attend emergency life support, 14/10 - work
weekend- 20/21- we are in gilwell.

so Maybe 30/09- ??

gibson CREW programing

Hello all,

talking about "programing "for gibs crew- I have some suggestion as I advice my TVK crew- Following the motto of rover- SERVICE. Therefore- service to community- activities such as good friday appeal, Xmas coming up- may help delivery gift to the needed through some of the volunteer organisation, ranging to organised children festival to the shire. Then Service to the scout movement- activities such as run group camps and once a month helping the sections running their program, and lastly, service to OURSELF.- this including- party(xmas), disco to hiking, canoeing, camping, rock climbing, skiing...etc.

We can make up any activities that we like and in that service balace then it will cover almost all the principle and aim of scouting.

As you now see we have a Blog page that you can all put thoughts and comments on.

There things to do that came from the meeting on Wednesday were as follows:

• Bring an example or to of a program we have done, for Rails.
• Basic ideas for budgets for me
• Ideas for activities that can be related to the promise and law etc (4.43)
• A scouts own that you have done
• A question that you believe is important to ask a squire at their vigil

Ok, so this is our training crew blog.

Basically the idea is to give us all a web space we can post stuff to and use for communication, checking activity details and so forth.
